Dr. Michael Romanowsky, MD

Medical Director of Urgent Care
Dr. Michael Romanowsky is a 1983 graduate of the Universidad del Norsete, Tampico, Mexico. He completed his fellowship at Boston University School of Medicine and his residency at Temple University.

He is a board certified member if the American Academy of Family Practitioners, and a member of the NH Medical Society. Dr. Romanowsky has been practicing family medicine as a solo practitioner in NH for 26 years, with two office locations in Salem (formerly in Windham) and Hampstead. He also serves as Medical Director of Hampstead Hospital and is a certified DOT medical examiner.

Dr. Romanowsky comes from a strong family tradition of Family Practice. His three older brothers practice in Lowell, MA. Dr. Romanowsky (Dr. Mike to his patients) lives with his wife in Hampstead, NH, where they have raised 4 children. His hobbies include fishing, sailing and cooking.

Dr. John W. Burress, MD, MPH, FACOEM

Medical Director of Occupational Medicine
Dr. John Burress completed his undergrad studies and Medical School at the University of Kentucky. After his primary care residency in Family Medicine in Greenville, South Carolina, Dr. Burress attained his Masters of Public Health and completed his clinical Fellowship in Occupational and Environmental Medicine at the Harvard School of Public Health.

His clinical training focused on preparing Dr. Burress to serve the working population of his rural hometown in Kentucky and included rotations in plastic surgery, sports orthopedics, and emergency medicine. However, family obligations lead him to close his practice in Kentucky and relocate back to Boston. Dr. Burress has 20 years of experience staffing and directing Occupational Medicine clinics both community and medical center based. His interests and strong clinical skill set including soft tissue repair (e.g., suturing) make him an ideal match to care for heavy industrial workers including the construction trades.

Ronald A. Lamontagne, MS, ARNP

Assistant Medical Director of Occupational Medicine
Ron Lamontagne is a Nurse Practitioner at Bedford Occupational and Acute Care in Bedford, New Hampshire. A native of Berlin, New Hampshire, he has more than 30 years of professional nursing experience in several capacities. He earned a Diploma in Nursing from the New Hampshire Hospital School of Nursing and completed a Bachelors of Science in Nursing and a Masters of Science at Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts. Mr. Lamontagne is board certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner by the American Nursing Association. He has been employed at Holland CompWorks as a managed care nurse facilitator and at the Newport Health Center where he was director of occupational health services and medical practice manager. Mr. Lamontagne has consulted professionally, published articles on Workers’ Compensation, and lectures. He is a Lt Col in the New Hampshire Wing of the Civil Air Patrol in charge of health and safety and is bilingual in English and French.

Lee Anne Lyons, PA- C, M.H.P

Lee Anne received her Master of Science Degree from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. She completed the Physician Assistant Program and graduated number two in her class. She received her undergraduate degree from Boston College. Most recently, Lee Anne was practicing at a large private practice in Derry, New Hampshire where she provided treatment to patients with a wide range of chronic disease management cases and complex medical patients ranging in age from 14 through geriatrics. Her specialties include occupational health medicine treating work related injuries and illnesses, while managing ongoing workers compensation cases.

Carrie E. Fontaine, PA-C

Carries received her Bachelor of Science, Physician Assistant from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. She graduated CUM LAUDE. She received her undergraduate degree in biology from Saint Joseph's College in Standish, Maine. Most recently, Carrie was a provider at Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics in Exeter where she practiced both sports medicine and occupational medicine. Additionally, Carrie boasts the following certifications: NCCPA (National Commission on Certifications of PA's), CIC- Credentialed ImPact Consultant and FMCR-DOT Examiner.

Karen O'Neil Wetherbee, MS, APRN

Karen is a 1979 honors diploma graduate of New England Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing (Boston) and in 1985 she graduated with honors from Emmanuel College (Boston) with a BA in Business and Health Care Economics. Over her 20 years as an acute care RN, she has worked in a variety of emergency and critical care settings in Massachusetts and New Hampshire; including a small community ED of 4 rooms; a large inner city ED of 50 beds; and several busy cardio-thoracic and surgical ICU’s. In 1999, she graduated with highest distinction from Rivier College (now University) with a Master’s in Nursing; Family Nurse Practitioner focus. She has worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner for the past 15 years in Emergency/Fast Track departments and Occupational Health clinics in New Hampshire; including Portsmouth Regional Hospital and Catholic Medical Center. She is nationally certified as a family nurse practitioner and is a member of many professional nursing organizations. Karen and her husband; enjoy traveling to Cozumel, visiting our US National Parks, and spending time at their family home in the White Mountains.

Daniel Frazee, PA-C, MPAS

Daniel earned his Master’s in Physician Assistant from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Science in Manchester, New Hampshire and his undergraduate degree from Central Michigan University. His clinical experience is diverse having worked in Emergency Medicine with Catholic Medical Center and Southern New Hampshire over the past 8 years. His experience in Occupational and Primary Care is extensive with a passion for serving the community with injury care, health promotion and occupational productivity. He was named New Hampshire Physician Assistant of the year in 2009 by his peers. Daniel co-founded and acted as Executive Vice President of a rapidly growing multiple provider practice encompassing 7 facilities with expansion into Massachusetts. Daniel’s strong clinical skills coupled with a successful track record in managing a provider practice brings BOAC the administrative and leadership experience our team and clients can rely on.
